Leeds United look set for disappointment in their hunt for a new attacking signing this summer.

Daniel Farke is hoping to add to his forward line during this transfer window, with Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer the only arrival so far.

Leeds United were the top scorers in the Championship last season with an impressive 95 goals, but after losing Manor Solomon, and with Patrick Bamford no longer in Farke’s plans, reinforcements are required.

Now, one of the players they held talks over signing is advancing in a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Neom SC open talks to sign Evann Guessand

Saudi Pro League club Neom SC have opened talks to sign OGC Nice attacker Evann Guessand, according to L’Equipe.

As TBR Football revealed back in June, Leeds held talks with Guessand, and the Ivorian remains on their radar.

Reports have suggested that Guessand might cost around £22m, which would be an absolute bargain fee for a player in his prime years.

Newcastle also wanted Guessand having been turned down by Hugo Ekitike, who is expected to join Liverpool instead.

TBR Football has also reported that Sunderland are considering a bid for Guessand, with the player keen to move to England this summer.

However, a move to the Middle East now looks to be on the cards with Christophe Galtier pushing to sign the 24-year-old.

Guessand, who’s been compared to Julian Alvarez, has just enjoyed a brilliant campaign in Ligue 1 as he scored 12 goals and got a further nine assists.

Rodrigo Muniz keen on move to Leeds United

The West Yorkshire club could turn their attention elsewhere, with TBR Football reporting that Rodrigo Muniz is open to joining Leeds.

Fulham hope to tie the Brazilian down to a new contract, although interest from Leeds could turn his head.

With Bamford having fallen out of favour with the German head coach, a striker or attacker who can fill multiple roles now seems to be a priority.

Despite their plethora of options, including Nmecha, Joel Piroe, Mateo Joseph, and Harry Gray, one more attacker is wanted by Leeds.
