Once the dust settles from Arsenal’s brilliant victory over Liverpool last night, they do now have a contract situation to sort.
Mikel Arteta’s side won in brilliant fashion at the Emirates, dispelling all of the ill-feeling from their FA Cup exit to Liverpool.

Oddly, Arsenal did have a very recognisable line up from that evening, with Kai Havertz once again playing at number nine.
However, the likes of Gabriel Martinelli really made a difference on this occasion – a performance his teammate’s celebrated.
But perhaps the biggest difference between the two sides on the night was Jorginho.
Arsenal’s experienced head, who is often called upon for these sorts of games, was brilliant in the middle, dictating the game throughout.
Thomas Partey was expected to be a boost returning to the side this month, however, injuries have curtailed that return once again.
But with Jorginho demonstrating his ability to play back up to or alongside Declan Rice last night, Arsenal still look well positioned.
That being said, Jorginho’s contract situation at Arsenal may be more of a worry – his current deal is said to only a matter of months left.
Jorginho admits his Arsenal future is still uncertain given contract situation
The midfielder was speaking to NBC Sports after his brilliant performance against Liverpool and was asked about his future on the back of the game.
Asked to provide more clarity, Jorginho said: “I don’t know. I’m trying to enjoy the moment to be honest with you. We haven’t spoken about it. I just want to win games with Arsenal.”

A typically diplomatic response from the £12m midfielder who does probably want to extend his Arsenal stay.
However, a man of his experience will similarly know that Mikel Arteta doesn’t need him to come out and demand a new deal.
Jorginho is playing a very important role in the Arsenal squad right now, and considering both Partey and Mohamed Elneny may leave in the summer, the club will probably sort his contract situation in due course.
Yes, a new midfielder seems likely to arrive in the summer, but that shouldn’t necessarily diminish Jorginho’s role, he’ll still be needed as a composed head for big games.
That being said, one Arsenal player didn’t seem too happy sat on the substitute bench last night.
