Celtic loanee Cameron Carter-Vickers put in another good display as the Hoops ran out 3-1 winners at St Johnstone.

The 23-year-old joined the Bhoys last summer on loan from Spurs and has been superb for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Admittedly, Carter-Vickers did have a few shaky moments on Boxing Day.

He could’ve potentially done more to prevent Chris Kane’s counter for the hosts’ goal.

However, Carter-Vickers was solid overall, clocking up some impressive statistics (Whoscored).

The United States international took 140 touches of the ball and made 129 passes with an accuracy of 92.3 percent.

He also won three aerial challenges, made five clearances and two interceptions, and delivered three accurate long balls.

It’s not surprising to hear Postecoglou talking about signing Carter-Vickers permanently from Tottenham.

When asked if he wants to keep Carter-Vickers, the Celtic boss told the Daily Record: “Absolutely.

“I wouldn’t have brought him in if I thought it was just a short-term thing.

“All the players we have brought in, we have done so with some thought around building a team.”

Carter-Vickers has endured a tricky couple of years, with many loan spells under his belt.

Now, he’s showing how good he is at a top club where he’s getting plenty of game time.

Carter-Vickers certainly has potential to become a Parkhead icon in the coming years – if the Hoops sign him permanently.
