128 successful passes, three intercaptions: Liverpool star produces incredible stats against Manchester United

Mo Salah grabbed the headlines as Liverpool smashed Manchester United 5-0, but Jordan Henderson was just as effective when it comes to the stats.

Egyptian superstar Salah got himself a hat-trick, taking his tally to an impressive 15 goals already. He also got an assist for Naby Keita.

Keita opened the scoring, meaning Salah now has a whopping 20 goal involvements even before November. A stunning return.

But it was in midfield that Liverpool won the game, with England midfielder Henderson dictating the tempo, and his United opponents.

Wherever there was potential danger, there was Henderson. The ball seemingly stuck to the Liverpool skipper like glue – and the stats prove it.

Pochettino Must Take Man United Job.

Not only did Henderson lay on a brilliant assist for Salah’s hat-trick goal, but his passing was different class on Sunday evening.

Henderson stats: Liverpool star producing his best form

Oh 134 attempted passes – which in itself is incredible and underlines the dominance Liverpool had – Henderson found his man 128 times.

Sensational. That, along with an assist, three key passes, three interceptions, and two tackles. Henderson was given a rating of 8.31 on WhoScored.

Little surprise. It was a near perfect performance from the £140,000-a-week (Spotrac) midfielder at Old Trafford – in what was a record-breaking result.

The win was not enough to take Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table, but there seems to be little capable of stopping Henderson’s side.
