Liverpool made it three wins in a row in all competitions by beating West Ham 1-0 at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Reds summer signing Darwin Nunez scored his first Anfield goal, which proved the difference against the Londoners.
Nunez netted in the 22nd minute, planting a downward header past Lukasz Fabianski from Kostas Tsimikas’ cross.

West Ham had a chance to equalise from the spot on the stroke of half time after Joe Gomez’ challenge on Harrod Bowen.
However, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson produced a fine diving save in front of the Kop to keep the Reds in front.
Jurgen Klopp’s charges were often wasteful in front of goal but they held on to pick up another three points.
While Nunez and Alisson stood out for their significant contributions, quite a few Liverpool players shone on the day.
One of those came from Jordan Henderson, who delivered a real captain’s performance.
‘Relentless throughout’
As per Whoscored, the £20million man took 105 touches of the ball and made 95 passes. Two of these were key passes, and he also delivered seven accurate long balls.
Henderson also weighed in with two efforts and completed one dribble. On the defensive front, he won one aerial challenge, and notched up three tackles, one interception and one clearance.

The Liverpool Echo gave him 8 out of 10 for his efforts. They wrote: “Set the early tempo when he was heavily involved in Liverpool wresting the initiative, and continued his workrate throughout.”
Likewise, Liverpool World gave Henderson 8 out of 10, adding: “Relentless throughout the game.
“Had a solid first half and then stepped it up a gear in the second period. Had an effort go not too far over and cross was almost converted into his own goal by Zouma.”
Henderson was a real unsung hero for Liverpool against the Hammers and he’s still showing everyone he’s still got it.
