TBR Football understands that both Arsenal and Liverpool have been informed about Vinicius Junior’s uncertain future at Real Madrid.

Since joining Real Madrid in 2018, Vinicius Junior has made 328 appearances and won two Champions League titles, but his future at the Santiago Bernabeu is now up in the air.

Chelsea and Manchester City are long-term admirers of the player, and earlier in the summer the duo had asked about the Brazilian.

At that point ahead of the Club World Cup, a new contract was close to being agreed.

Real were ready to sanction a long-term deal that would have seen Vinicius Jnr’s wages increased to €20m-a-year, but the player’s representatives asked for bonuses to be included, which would see the deal potentially worth €30m – close to Kylian Mbappe.

However, Real have baulked at those demands and insist they will not pay.

Real Madrid prepared to sell Vinicius Junior if he doesn’t sign a new deal

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Real have now made it clear to Vinicius that if a new deal is not agreed by next summer – by which point he’ll have just 12 months left on his contract – he will be sold.

In addition, sources have confirmed that there are some concerns from Vinicius’ camp regarding his role under Xabi Alonso.

Thus far under Alonso, the Brazilian has started four of Real’s six games, but he’s yet to go beyond the 80 minute mark in any match, something which is believed to have caused frustration on Vinicius’ part.

This, coupled with his contract talks, mean Vinicius’ long-term future at the Santiago Bernabeu is far from certain.

As a result, the Saudi Pro League have made it clear that they would love to take him, but sources confirm that Vinicius would rather not make such a move at this point in his career.

Vinicius Junior’s situation has been alerted to Arsenal and Liverpool

Indeed, TBR Football understands that Chelsea and Man City have been told that Vinicius could be open to a move to the Premier League if such an opportunity arose.

Arsenal and Liverpool have been informed about the ongoing situation, as have Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

Although, the communication has not been instigated by the clubs, but like with any world talent, these clubs do want to be kept informed.

Sharing more insight into the situation, Bailey believes there are some real issues around Vinicius and his future.

“Florentino Perez loves Vinicius Junior but there are concerns within the club about whether he is going to sign this new deal.

“It is hard to imagine Vinicius not being at Madrid but sources are insisting this possibility.

“The coming months are going to be intriguing but the basic point is that Real won’t allow him to go into the final 12 months of his deal and potentially look at a free transfer.”
