Arsenal kicked off their pre-season in style with a comfortable 3-0 win over Colorado Rapids. The Gunners are in the United States for their pre-season tour and Unai Emery gave chances to plenty of youngsters against Colorado.
Several starlets took their opportunity with both hands and that included all three goalscorers. Bukayo Saka, James Olayinka and Gabriel Martinelli all got on the scoresheet.
Saka scores to cap fine display
And it was Saka who was arguably the most impressive player on the field. The 17-year-old winger ran rings around the Colorado defence and deserved his goal.
It was a well-taken finish on 13 minutes to open the scoring. The Arsenal teenager latched onto a through ball and cleverly dinked it over the goalkeeper to put his side ahead.

Saka then continued to cause problems all afternoon and his performance would have caught Emery’s attention. The England U19 international could add to his senior appearances next season.
Despite his young age, Emery handed Saka four first-team appearances last season, including a seven-minute cameo against Fulham in the Premier League.
Here are some tweets from Arsenal fans reacting to Saka’s display against Colorado.
