100 touches, 10 clearances, 9 aerials won - on-loan Spurs centre-back was a colossus today
Spurs loanee Cameron Carter-Vickers is enjoying a superb loan stint at Celtic this season.
The 23-year-old centre-back has come through the ranks at Tottenham and made his debut in 2016.
However, he has only made four senior appearances for Spurs.
But at the same time, Carter-Vickers has won eight caps for the United States national team.
He has done very well on loan at Luton and Bournemouth in the Championship, and is now shining for Celtic too.
The Hoops snapped up the Tottenham centre-back at the 11th hour on summer transfer deadline day.
Celtic also have an option to buy Carter-Vickers at the end of the season – and the way things are going, they’d be stupid not to.
The USMNT ace has played the full 90 minutes in five consecutive Bhoys games in the Scottish Premiership.
The 23-year-old has contributed to three wins and two clean sheets in the league, plus a 3-0 win against Raith Rovers in the Scottish League Cup .
And against Motherwell on Saturday, Carter-Vickers was an absolute colossus, registering some amazing stats.
According to Whoscored, he made 10 clearances, two interceptions and 84 passes with an 86.9 percent accuracy.
In addition, Carter-Vickers delivered 10 accurate long balls, won nine aerials, and took 100 touches of the ball.
On the flip side, he did pick up a booking, but it was a combative match against a tricky opponent and he seemed to revel in the occasion.
Could Carter-Vickers go on to make Spurs regret their decision to give Celtic the option to buy him next summer?
