Jurgen Klopp has commented on the role of West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer in Liverpool’s winning goal last night.
Darwin Nunez won the game for the Reds with his first Premier League goal at Anfield, heading home in the first half.
Klopp spoke to Amazon Prime after the game about the goal, with the video of the header rolling while he was interviewed.
Klopp says he thinks pundits and critics will say that £10 million man Kehrer should do better against Nunez, but that it is really hard to defend in that situation.

Klopp on Kehrer
Klopp said: “The goal is exceptional. The situations (Nunez) had, the other chances he had were exceptional.
“It is a great cross and then being between the centre-halves. I am 100 per cent sure somebody will say Thilo Kehrer has to do better but it’s really difficult.
“(Ben Johnson) has to close (Tsimikas) down maybe.
“Of course, there are always mistakes before anybody scores a goal. But then in the air, he is a real weapon.”
Liverpool look to have turned a corner now, even though they were indebted to Alisson for saving a penalty from Jarrod Bowen which would have earned West Ham a draw.
Nunez getting back among the goals in the league will be a boost, as will another clean sheet and home win for the Reds.
They are now chasing down the top four and lingering with menace, as Chelsea and Manchester United get set to lock horns on Saturday.
