A number of Liverpool fans have urged Jurgen Klopp to name Kostas Tsimikas in the Reds starting XI for tonight’s Champions League game.
Liverpool, who have won their first two Group D matches, take on Italian high-flyers Atalanta in tonight’s match in Bergamo, the first ever meeting between the two clubs.
Tsimikas was sidelined since picking up a thigh problem during his debut – and lone appearance so far – for the Reds, the 7-2 thrashing of Lincoln in the League Cup last month.

However, he has returned to training, being put through his paces at Melwood ahead of the flight to Italy on Monday afternoon, and was part of the travelling pack.
With Manchester City coming up this weekend and Andrew Robertson having played 90 minutes in each of Liverpool’s Premier League and Champions League games this season, some fans would like to see him rested and Tsimikas named in the XI.

As well as Tsimikas, Joel Matip and Naby Keita have returned to full training and could be in contention for tonight’s Champions League clash.
