‘100% a target’: Tottenham now exploring late move for ‘incredible’ PL speedster – journalist

Tottenham Hotspur have “100%” identified Wolves ace Adama Traore as a late transfer target, according to Ryan Taylor.

The 26-year-old was on the radar of Spurs manager Antonio Conte during the January transfer window.

However, Traore ended up moving to Barcelona on loan, where he made 17 appearances.

The Catalan giants decided against making the player’s stay at Camp Nou a permanent one.

And with under 12 months remaining on his current contract at Wolves, Traore is on the market once again.

The Athletic reported not too long ago that Wolves would accept as little as £10million for the Spain international.

If they don’t sell Traore in the next few days, they run the risk of losing him for little to nothing next year.

And Taylor believes Tottenham are eyeing him up in a potential bargain deal due to his contract situation.

In an interview with GiveMeSport, the Daily Express journalist said: “Adama Traore is 100% a target as well.

“And the fact he’s out of contract next summer means he could be available for literally, we’re talking £10million, £15million.”

Tottenham have enjoyed a superb transfer window, bringing in seven players.

Spurs have also done well on the outgoings front, offloading a number of high-salary fringe players for the season.

Conte and Fabio Paratici are reportedly big fans of Traore, and at £15million, he’d be a bargain.

However, you have to wonder where he’d fit in at present.

Conte has Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Moura occupying the right wing.

And at right wing-back, Spurs have Emerson Royal, Matt Doherty and Djed Spence.

Nonetheless, Traore is an “incredible” player and he’d no doubt bolster the Tottenham ranks.
