Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele hasn’t lost a single game since he left the club in the summer.
The 25-year-old joined Italian outfit Napoli on a season-long loan deal back in August and is yet to taste defeat in Naples.
Luciano Spalletti’s men have made a formidable start to the season and currently sit top of Serie A. Napoli are yet to lose a single game this season and have only dropped points to Fiorentina and Lecce in the league.
They’ve won all three of their opening Champions League group stage games, with emphatic wins over both Liverpool and Ajax.

And Ndombele has racked up a total of eight appearances for Spalletti’s side, while being an unused substitute for two games.
The French midfielder has now been part of 10 Napoli matchday squads that are yet to taste defeat this season. But it doesn’t paint the whole picture for the on-loan Spurs man.
Ndombele hasn’t lost a game since he left
Ndombele has racked up eight appearances for Napoli but has only started in two of them. In both of the games he started, Spurs fans will probably not be too surprised to hear that he only lasted for 45 minutes.
He was hooked at half-time by Spalletti in the 1-1 draw against Lecce and the Italian media claimed that he needed to improve.
The former Lyon man has only actually played a total of 184 minutes for Napoli in his eight appearances, which doesn’t bode well in terms of his chances of making a move permanent.

Of course, it’s still early days for the Frenchman and he could drastically improve over the course of the season. Ndombele has already scored and assisted in the little minutes he’s played.
But it’s clear that he hasn’t earned Spalletti’s trust as of yet, despite his unbeaten record.
Both Spurs and Ndombele will no doubt be hoping that the loan spell is a success after an underwhelming three years in north London.
There were high hopes for Ndombele when he joined Spurs for what was a club-record fee of £63 million back in 2019 (Sky Sports). He did enjoy a decent spell under former boss Jose Mourinho but he’s certainly not going to become part of Antonio Conte’s plans when he returns next summer.
For the time being, Spurs will be hoping Ndombele can force his way into the Napoli side and make a real impression in Italy before he returns next year.
