It took him a while to get going, but Lewis Grabban simply cannot stop scoring for Nottingham Forest now. He failed to register in his first six games for the club, which had some believing Forest had spent big on a red herring.
However, last season’s Championship top-scorer has since come good. Grabban scored again at the weekend as Forest claimed an impressive 1-0 win over Sheffield United.
It was his 10th goal in his last 11 games, helping Forest to an impressive run of form that currently puts them sixth in the Championship table.
His form will, however, make one rival Championship team feel rather sick.
Grabban spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. After impressing during the first part of the campaign with Sunderland, Villa swooped in the hope he might inspire them to promotion.

In the end, Aston Villa came up short in the play-off final v Fulham. Then it became abundantly clear that Aston Villa had lived beyond their means to try and make it back to the promised land.
They were in serious financial trouble under Tony Xia and certainly could not afford the reported £6 million fee needed to sign the striker from Bournemouth.
Aston Villa have struggled this season, eventually costing Steve Bruce his job. Whilst they are starting to show signs of improvement, they would no doubt love to have had Grabban in permanently this summer.
As it is, he is helping fire another Championship team toward a promotion tilt.
