Leeds United ace Mateusz Klich has paid tribute to the Elland Road faithful, noticing how much the Whites travelling fans were enjoying themselves during the Championship win at Middlesbrough in midweek (Leeds website).
Marcelo Bielsa’s charges made the trip to the Riverside and claimed their third 1-0 win in a row, pushing Jonathan Woodgate’s side closer towards the relegation zone.
Boro began well against the Whites but didn’t take their chances and were caught out just before the break by Klich’s fine finish.
The hosts were far from downtrodden in the second half and worked hard to try to claim a result, but they ultimately fell short as Leeds brought three points back to Elland Road.
Speaking to the official Leeds website, the goalscorer on the evening said he could see how much Leeds supporters were enjoying the match, even from where he was on the pitch.

“It was a very intense game, you could see Middlesbrough wanted to win as they needed the points,” the £1.5million ace said. “We could see the Leeds fans in the stadium enjoyed the game.
“We know if we keep clean sheets, it’s going to be fine as in every game we get chances.
“Obviously everyone knows what we’re playing for, we have to take experience from last season and no one wants to repeat that. We can feel the pressure but everyone is mentally stronger this season.”
TBR View:
Three games, three wins, three clean sheets – Leeds are back in business after their new year slump which caused alarm bells to ring ever louder, especially in wake of last season’s events.
At present, Leeds sit five points clear of third place, but as nice as it is to have established a decent enough gap once again, it can all change in the space of one or two matchdays.
Nonetheless, Bielsa and his boys will no doubt be stronger from last year’s experience and do all they can to keep ticking along nicely – and as long as they will, the Leeds fans will continue enjoying themselves.
