Manchester United dropped more points at Old Trafford this season after being held to a dull 0-0 draw by a disciplined West Brom side on Saturday afternoon.
Despite dominating possession on the day, Jose Mourinho’s side never looked like breaking down a solid Baggies defence, taking until midway through the second-half to record a shot on target.
Marcus Rashford came closest to breaking the deadlock late on when he forced Ben Foster into two fine saves from distance but West Brom held firm to deny the hosts a crucial three points.
The result sees United drop five points behind rivals Manchester City in the race for the top four and six behind Liverpool in third, although they do still have games in hand over their competitors.
