Leicester face a tough challenge as they head to Spain to face Sevilla in the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 fixture. In many ways, the game represents a battle between two sides who have had significantly contrasting fortunes in their respective leagues.
Leicester City, having defied all odds last season, find themselves at the wrong end of the table, sitting precariously above the relegation zone. The Foxes Leicester are on a five-game losing streak in the Premier League, looking extremely poor as of late; clueless in attack and shambolic in defence.
As for Sevilla, the current holders of the Europa League trophy, they have performed admirably in the league, keeping in touch with Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona. They sit third in the table, four points clear of Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid and just two points off second place Barcelona.

Injuries and suspensions
Sevilla are without defender Benoît Trémoulinas and midfielder Michael Krohn-Dehli who both have long-term knee injuries. Nicolás Pareja is also doubtful with a recent groin injury.
As for Leicester, their main injury concern lies with Islam Slimani, who has also been suffering from a groin strain. He may be risked in this important game, however, having been left out of the team against Millwall in the recent FA Cup fixture.
It is difficult to see anything other than a Sevilla win here. Comparing their recent form highlights the contrast in fortunes and points towards a win for the Spanish side. They have been winning games comfortably in recent weeks, while Leicester have been struggling in terms of both scoring goals and keeping them out.
Playing at home, and with their fans behind them, Sevilla could run riot here. They could put several past Leicester in what may be a miserable night for the Foxes’.
