Chelsea Player Ratings: How the Champions measured up as they secured the league title against West Brom

Written by

After months of waiting, Chelsea were finally confirmed as Premier League champions at the Hawthorns as they saw off the challenge of a plucky West Brom side, who, for much of the tie, looked likely to hold the visitors to a 0-0 draw.

It was substitute Michy Batshuayi who was the unlikeliest of heroes with a great run in the box to pounce on Cesar Azpilicueta’s draw back to break the deadlock late on.

Azpilicueta was in action at the other end of the field too, with an invaluable goal line clearance keeping the London side in with a shout and that goal secured the Premier League title for Antonio Conte’s side with two games left to play.

Here are how the Blues’ players rated:

Thibaut Courtois – 7

Much like all season, the Belgian had little to do but when called upon he did well and never looked under pressure. Good distribution looking to get the team on the attack.
